St. Peter's square

An up-close view of the basilica

The right side of the Vatican

a piece of the Berlin Wall that was a gift from Italian Marco Piccininni to the Vatican in 1994.

a view of the basilica from the beautiful Vatican gardens

A lovely picture of the English gardens, which were the first of the three gardens we saw

The welcome statue to the garden

One of the many beautiful fountains in the garden...by the way, it's safe to drink water from many of the fountains in the garden and in Rome-they are drinking fountains in a really cool ancient disguise

I loved this view of the two statues guarding the entrance to this path. They really add some historic charm to their natural surroundings.

Even though this looks like ordinary concrete, it's actually quite sacred. It's the pope's helicopter landing pad!

A gorgeous view of the Vatican from the French gardens.

Out of all the fountains in the garden, this one was my favorite. It's called the Ealge fountain, and if you look closely, you can see the eagle perched on the top.

The beginning of the many halls to the Sistine Chapel begins....this one was lined with Roman statues and busts

A looming statue of Hercules

The start of the beautiful Sistine Chapel begins...by the way, this pictures are highly illegal as the guards kept telling everyone to not take pictures in the Sistine Chapel. If you look towards the center, you can vaguely see the famous section of the Hand of God giving life to Adam.
